On this show I interview James "Tappy" Wright, author of ROCK ROADIE. Tappy Wright was road manager for The Animals, Jimi Hendrix, Tina Turner, Herman's Hermits, Sting and many other legendary artists. This book arrived in my mailbox several months ago and since I'm not a huge fan of any of these artists (with the exception of The Animals) it stayed on my shelf for a while. When I finally got around to reading it I was really glad I did. There is story after story after story about life on the road and all that comes with it. Having sex with groupies, band fighting, partying, it's all there and Tappy holds nothing back. One of the big selling points in the book is what he claims is proof positive that Jimi Hendrix was murdered. He goes into great detail about how it happened. On the show you will hear that and quite a few other great stories from the book. If you are a student of rock history like I am, then I think you are going to like this interview(and the book).

This show really has nothing to do with the swine flu or Marilyn Manson but caller Chauna, the 16 year old rock and roll geek said it on her call and I thought it would make a good title for this episode. What this episode really is about are my top 5 albums of 2009. A lot of albums were released this year by a lot of bands I really like so it was a good year in that respect but most of those albums were not great in my opinion. A lot were good but not great.
